3.14.2017 PPS Radon Report

Dear Ockley Green Families and Staff:

A temporary radon mitigation system for the gym and adjacent rooms was installed on Thursday 2/23/17 in a storage room off the boys locker room. Follow-up testing was completed and the results are posted here: March 13 radon report. 

The follow-up testing confirmed the mitigation system is effective for rooms adjacent to the gym and regular use of those rooms may resume. 

However, the radon levels in the gym are varying. This variation is likely due to the on/off cycles of the heating and cooling system. PPS Facilities and Asset Management will be examining the heating and cooling system. 

A re-test for the gym will be in order after further HVAC work. Facilities and Asset Management has assigned a project manager for the permanent radon mitigation system.

Until further notice the gym will remained closed and we will inform you when additional mitigation efforts and the next round of testing are complete.
